Mission

Pippenger Law is dedicated to simplifying the estate planning process and providing our customers with an accurate and dependable plan that they, and their survivors, can rely on.

We understand that estate planning is about “peace of mind.” As a client, you want to know that what you have worked for all of your life will be taken care of according to your needs and desires. Just providing you with a dependable plan is not enough, we also strive to explain the rules and tools involved with estate planning. Our goal is to help you understand how your estate plan can ensure that your goals are going to be met.

I’m Michael R. Pippenger

I started Pippenger Law in 2013 after years of working in securities litigation law firms in Denver and Boulder. While I had spent years working in litigation, estate planning has always been my passion (I was a T.A. for Trust & Estates at the University of Denver, during law school). Today, my practice focusses almost exclusively on estate plan creation and counseling my clients on how to work through Colorado’s probate laws. My background in finance has served me well in assisting my clients with understanding how they might best take advantage of their estate plans.

I worked as a litigation associate with Michaels Ward & Rabinovitz, LLP in its Boulder, Colorado office and before that with Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons, LLP (now Lewis Roca Rothgerber) in Denver, Colorado. My passion is keeping my clients informed and aware so they can make the most educated decisions possible.

I earned my B.S. in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University in 1994. After spending a few years working for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., first as a broker and then as a team supervisor, I was afforded an opportunity to go back to school and study the law. In 2004, I earned my J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. I am admitted to practice law in Colorado. I am a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. I love living in Colorado and spending time with my wonderful family!
